Science Says Late People Are Positive People

late clock

If you’re a more “glass half full” type of person, there’s a good chance that you’re also late–a lot. Though studies on people’s tardiness are relatively new, the growing theory is that waiting until the last minute (or past it), just means you always believe that things will work out. In fact, your positivity is likely a mix of your personality and psychology and not because you’re lazy, inconsiderate or any other negative connotation. You are perpetually hopeful.

“This hope reduces stress, strengthens your immune system and lessens the risk of cardiovascular disease. This leads to an over all longer lifespan as well,” according to one study. In another finding, research done at San Diego Star University has linked lateness to Type B or “more laid back personalities that don’t sweat over the small stuff and look at the big picture to deliver more results.”

At the end of the day, you simply believe that things will work out; that you will have plenty of time to do all the things you want or need to do. It’s not rude, it’s just your positive outlook! But just in case, here’s a few excuses you can use the next time you’re running a little bit behind schedule…
